During our daily work as mechanics and set-up engineers in autosport teams and automotive industry, we ran into recurring wheel alignment problems. We decided to develop a mobile, compact and very easy-to-use wheel alignment device,\u00a0that would allow us to do a perfect job and would help us to professionalize our work.<\/span><\/p>

In our search for a mobile, accurate and reproducible wheel alignment system, we reviewed several existing equipment. We found that most mobile devices don\u2019t offer 4-wheel alignment, and only measure total toe, not in respect to the rear axle. For measuring camber, mostly another extra tool was needed. Not very practical.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

More professional workshops equipment showed obvious drawbacks, like none-mobility, relatively high costs, extra space needed for placement and the preparation time needed. This equipment offers measurement-data to check\u00a0for defects in suspension components,\u00a0<\/span>conceptually captured by the chassis design (Castor, KPI). But even if a trained operator has the necessary knowledge and experience to use this, most of the equipment can\u2019t be used on location, a test- or racing-track.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Another issue was the lack of measurement range, precision and reproducibility, which we concluded\u00a0from the many product tests we did with competing product.\u00a0Problems usually caused by unevenly distributed clamping forces, inaccurate placement of the devices on the wheels, and the use of different devices per wheel, resulting in an unpredictable negative impact on the measurement values.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

These requirements were used to develop the TRIGOLIGN\u00ae wheel-alignment system, with software that can be used off-line everywhere and working together with a\u00a0lightweight, compact, <\/span> and durable measuring device.<\/p>
In 2020, the first prototypes were developed in close cooperation with PRAE Vehicle Dynamics<\/span>.\u00a02021 was used to optimize the electronics, test the device for safety and incorporate user-friendly functions. Besides the product was\u00a0<\/span>intensively tested in cooperation with\u00a0<\/span>Mertens Motorspor<\/a><\/span><\/span>t<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>during the N\u00fcrburgring Endurance Series<\/span>, and\u00a0<\/span>Into Race Control<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>during historic racing events.<\/span><\/p>
By the end of 2021, TRIGOLIGN\u00ae PITBOX was found to be CE-compliant and the first products were sold to OEMs and TIER 1 and 2 customers.\u00a0

January 2022, TRIGOLIGN BV was founded. February 2022 production started of the first product, TRIGOLIGN<\/span>\u00ae<\/span>\u00a0PITBOX. During production we continue to develop and improve our products, including the software and additional items. We do this based on feedback provided by our customers.<\/span><\/p>
